Surprising fight broke early Thursday morning when Red Corner MMA reported that Michael ‘Venom’ Page, aka MVP, will be moving up to 185-lbs to fight the brand new ranked middleweight, #14 Sharaputdin Magomedov, at the next UFC card in Saudi Arabia.

Dagestan’s one-eyed pirate Magomedov has made quite the splash since debuting in 2023, winning four straight middleweight bouts including a recent unprecedented double spinning backfist knockout over Armen Petrosyan.
‘Bullet’ thus remains undefeated fifteen fights into his pro career but has no flagship victory just yet, one which proves his talent against a skillful veteran.
That is where MVP comes in. Not only does his style match up perfectly with Shara’s – they are both flashy, kick-heavy knockout artists with a penchant for the unusual – but he also has the distinction of having been one of rival promotion Bellator’s stars for a long time, going 17-2 in the promotion and only ever losing in title fights.
Although Page’s own resume is somewhat shallow, wins over Kevin Holland, Paul Daley, and Douglas Lima are far beyond any win of Magomedov’s.
The collision of two lifelong martial artists and their unique styles of kicking – and spinning – in the octagon may create chaos. It may look awkward, even ugly, as can be the case when two unique specialists are both unsure how their style will work against someone as weird as themselves. It could also be an incredible fight., or at least a pretty fun one.
Whatever the case may be, it will certainly be a fight that plays out like no other. If Shara Bullet can take out MVP, however, it would be the biggest win of his career no matter how he gets it done.
