Even on a quiet night, the NBA packs a punch. Tonight’s programming begins with reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets against Tyrese Haliburton’s high-flying Nuggets (7 p.m. ET). After that, we’ll have a showdown in New York between the Knicks and Nets in Brooklyn (7:30 p.m., TNT).
At 8 pm, we will have Zion and the Pelicans hosting the Jazz and MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder hosting the Blazers. Finally, Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers, host LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers in a battle of hot Los Angeles squads (10 p.m., TNT). It’s an avalanche of NBA hoops, which we’re eager to place some bets on.
We’ve been crushing our best bets, best props, and Prop-A-Shot series all season, going a collective 52-36 with our recommendations. That’s a .590 winning percentage, a number we’re looking to steadily raise as the season progresses.

Today’s Best NBA Prop Bets: The Best Props for Every Game
Nikola Jokic, C, Nuggets at Pacers: OVER 28.5 points (-120)
We generally don’t go for the OVER with big points, especially for two-time MVPs. However, Michael Porter Jr. has been battling an illness and Aaron Gordon is also listed as questionable with a shoulder strain. Jokíc has dropped 76 points in Denver’s last two games, and has averaged 28.6 points per game against the Pacers the past few seasons, so we’d like him to drop 30 if MPJ or Gordon are out or limited tonight.
It must also be fresh in Joker’s head, at least a little, that reigning MVP Joel Embiid scored 70 last night against the Spurs (and the less glamorous Karl-Anthony Towns dropped 62 against Charlotte in a losing effort). If Jokíc wants to have a big night of his own during a quiet five-game series, he certainly has a good chance to do so against the Pacers.
Indiana has allowed the most points in the paint (61.0 per game) and the most two-point touchdowns (69.4) in the Association this season. The Pacers’ last two opponents, the Suns and Blazers, each scored more than 64 points in the paint. If Joker can get Indy center Myles Turner into foul trouble (not exactly a difficult task, considering Turner averages the ninth-most personnel in the NBA), the reigning Finals MVP should reach this OVER.

Jalen Brunson, PG, Knicks at Nets – MORE THAN 2.5 triples (+140)
Brunson seems like the leading candidate to represent the Knicks in next month’s All-Star Game, something that probably should have happened last year. The point guard had a very good case for surpassing his teammate Julius Randle last season, but he has managed to put together a Even better campaign this time.
Take a look at Brunson’s final numbers for 2022-23 and his stats halfway through this season:

He’s taking more shots and doing more shots, and he’s been spectacular from beyond the arc all season. He has made 11 3-pointers in the Knicks’ last three games and a whopping 27 3-pointers in nine January games. Don’t expect Brooklyn to stop Brunson either. The Nets have allowed their opponents to make 13.8 3-pointers per game (fifth most) on 38.2 percent shooting (eighth most). Light the Brunson burner.

Jonas Valančiūnas, C, Pelicans vs. Jazz – OVER 12.5 points (+100)
We almost bit Zion Williamson’s 24.5 OVER, but fell for the positive odds here for Valančiūnas. JV is averaging 13.9 points per game on the season, and has surpassed this total in six of New Orleans’ last eight games and 16 of the Pels’ last 23.
NOLA has also enjoyed an extra day off (Willie Green’s team last played on Friday), so the Lithuanian should unleash the Lightning on the undersized Jazz. Utah has been starting John Collins at center and bringing Walker Kessler off the bench, so Zion and Big V should be flexing their muscles tonight.
The Jazz have given up 55.3 points in the paint in their last three games and, most recently, allowed the Rockets’ Alperen Şengün and Jabari Smith Jr. to combine for 61 points. Back Valančiūnas to at least defeat the teens at home against an inferior Utah team.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG, Thunder vs. Blazers – OVER 31.5 points (-120)
While the rest of the MVP candidates in the Association seem to be on fire lately, SGA continues to light them up, but their scoring has slipped a bit (at least by their standards). Gilgeous-Alexander, the Western Conference Player of the Month in December, went from averaging 32 points per game in 26 games combined in November and December to averaging 30.7 points per game in January. That’s still awesomebut he has now fallen to fourth in scoring per game behind Joel Embiid, Luka Dončić and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Embiid, the reigning MVP and scoring champion, just scored 70 points against the Spurs last night and has averaged 38.3 points per game over his last 15 games. Giannis is averaging 32.3 points per game on 61.5 percent shooting since December 1. Dončić has averaged 36.2 points per game in his last 19 games. If SGA wants to stay in the MVP conversation, they need to annihilate weak opponents like the Blazers.
Portland gave up 134 points to the Lakers on Sunday, and SGA lost 31 to Chauncey Billups’ team the last time it visited OKC. The final score of that game: 139-77, a 62-point blow. If Gilgeous-Alexander can score 31 in a 62-point run, he can fall 35-40 in a closer game. The Thunder are coming off a four-game road trip, so we’re rooting for the sixth-year pro to enjoy some comfort food against one of the worst teams in the NBA tonight.

Kawhi Leonard, F, Clippers vs. Lakers: MORE than 24.5 points (-120)
Kawhi exploded in December, averaging 29.3 points per game en route to the Clippers enjoying an 11-2 month. Now he and the Clips look to extend their home winning streak to eight by hosting a Lakers team that has been pretty hot lately. LeBron, AD, and D’lo have led the Lake Show to victory in three of their last four games, so this should be a great battle in Crypto tonight.
Leonard has averaged 26.5 points per game in two games with the Lakers this season, and that’s despite an unusually poor shooting performance against them two weeks ago. It’s clear that James Harden, Paul George and Russell Westbrook see Kawhi as the Clips’ main catalyst in big games, they’re without big man Ivica Zubac due to a calf injury and the Lakers don’t have anyone to backstop to Kawhi. if he gets hot.
Bron is too slow, Taurean Prince is too weak, and D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves are too small. Ham can try to run Cam Reddish into him, but we all know how that will work. He helps The Claw slide over 25 with ease tonight, hopefully helping us close out a strong night of NBA betting in style.
