Conor Benn is set to make a name for himself in America when he takes on Peter Dobson in a welterweight clash on February 3. The fight in Las Vegas and preliminary action are broadcast on DAZN around the world.
Benn turned pro at age 19 in 2016. The 27-year-old was on a roll and ready to fight Chris Eubank Jr. until he failed multiple drug tests after testing positive for clomiphene. The WBC determined that the failed tests were the result of “very high egg consumption.” The UKAD suspended Benn from competing in the United Kingdom. Benn has maintained his innocence and has sought to rebuild his career after a long layoff.
“The Destroyer” last fought in September, defeating Rodolfo Orozco. While he improves his resume, Benn no longer wants to worry about a fight against Eubank. His main objective is to fight for gold at 147, with Terence Crawford being the undisputed champion of the division.
“I think it’s a matter of time before I put that strap around my waist, but who knows what the future holds,” Benn said. IFL TV through DAZN. “I’m on the hunt, I’m not going to let myself be derailed by this or that. The legacy remains, the money comes and goes. It’s something I have to do. Big fights are what I want, and if I don’t have to go up to 160 pounds, even better.”

Dobson turned professional in 2014. The 33-year-old last fought in June 2022, beating Rodrigo Damián Coria by decision.
