Damsel, the new fantasy movie now streaming on Netflix, not only finally gives Millie Bobby Brown a sword, but it also gives her a fire-breathing dragon to kill with said sword. Let’s go El!
Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and written by Dan Mazeau,DamselBrown stars Elodie, the princess of an impoverished kingdom who agrees to marry the prince of another land (played byWith love, Simonstar Nick Robinson) in exchange for money for his people. Elodie resigns herself to a loveless marriage, but she certainly doesn’t expect her new boyfriend to unceremoniously throw her into a cave on her wedding day. It turns out that Elodie is nothing more than a sacrifice for a vengeful, talking dragon. Now, she must use her wits (and her surprisingly utilitarian wedding dress) to survive.
Did I mention the dragon talks? From his voice you can see that this is a wise, powerful and angry beast. She is giving Mother, and I don’t just mean that in the sense that this dragon is a literal mother seeking to avenge her babies. So who is the voice actor who plays the dragon in Damsel?

the dragon in Damsel is voiced by Oscar-nominated actress Shohreh Aghdashloo. The 71-year-old Iranian actress has had a long career, although modern audiences may know her best as Chrisjen Avasarala in the sci-fi series. the extensionor as Dina Araz in the fourth season of 24.
In the early 2000s, she earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 2003 film adaptation of House of Sand and Fog. More recently, Aghdashloo has taken on more voice roles, including voicing Gozer the Gozerian in 2021. Ghostbusters: Afterlifeand a small voice role in the animated series. Now in Damsel, Aghdashloo once again demonstrates her talent as a voice actress, this time as a fearsome dragon. she is on fire. (Get it? Because dragons breathe fire? It doesn’t matter.)
