During an executive session at the Television Critics Association Winter 2024 press tour in February, Landgraf told TCA members that new ideas for Murphy’s popular FX series, including FIEF – are always being bounced.
“Obviously, he has his own methodology for communicating when he wants to communicate. And that’s why he’s a little bit different than the others,” Landgraf said of Murphy. “I can tell you that he’s working on a lot of new things for us right now that I’m very excited about and that I think he’ll announce relatively soon. And there are always many ideas circulating about possible new seasons of American crime history either American sports history either American love story either FIEFbut I never know which one he will cling to next. So unfortunately, I have nothing more to offer on the matter.”
In a 2019 TCA interview with Jugo Mobile, Landgraf shared more about Murphy’s creative process, saying, “When he becomes obsessed with something, he manifests it. He just jumps into the world.
