Clash of styles = Entertaining fight?
Heavyweight main events can be an all-out brawl, ending at any time, or a 25-minute replay fest. In this case, Tuivasa and Tybura present a skill level that may lean towards the former.
Tybura’s last two victories have come down to the wire. The 38-year-old ranks second in decision wins at heavyweight with seven. He also ranks fourth in total fight time (3:36:31 and counting) and fourth in control time (1:01:45). In terms of significant strikes, Tybura has scored 1,387.
The Polish fighter is known to achieve knockouts at will. However, he may need to adapt if his groundwork doesn’t hold up, especially against someone in Tuivasa who is tenth in takedowns achieved (eight). Before his losing streak, Tuivasa won five straight matches by knockout.
“Marcin has been around for a long time, I have watched him for many years. “I’m not going to be able to bring anything that I haven’t seen before,” Tuivasa said via Press next to the cage. “I know his work; I guess his plan is to try to drag me through the rounds and wear me down. But this is the heavyweight pision. “I’m going to go out there and work hard and try to do this job.”
If Tuivasa can go deep and force Tybura to his feet, the two could engage in a quick fight, something fans won’t want to miss.
Tuivasa vs. Betting Odds Tybura are attractive

So not only do you have a pretty close matchup, but history has shown that heavyweight main events can finish strong.

The UFC heavyweight pision is in limbo. UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is out due to injury, and UFC CEO Dana White insists on booking Jones against Stipe Miocic. Tom Aspinall is the interim champion but has no fights scheduled yet. Curtis Blades recently ended Jailton Almeida’s winning streak and momentum, while Sergei Pavlovich has no challenger.
Why is all this important? Because Tuivasa and Tybura have a chance to make some noise in a crowded pision.
Tuivasa is ninth in the heavyweight rankings, with Tybura at tenth. A victory for either of them could surpass Serghei Spivac, who last fought in September 2023, and, potentially, Almeida.
With Jones potentially returning in late summer, the boost Tuivasa and Tybura could gain from a win could lead to rewarding matchups once the pision gets back on track.
