Manchester City and Coventry City charted opposite paths to the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s side defeated Newcastle United 2-0 thanks to a pair of deflected goals from Bernardo Silva to reach their record sixth successive semi-final.
By contrast, Championship Coventry were 2-1 down in injury time against Wolves before Ellis Simms and Haji Wright pulled off a comeback for good.
On Sunday, March 17, Chelsea host Coventry’s second-pision counterparts Leicester City before Manchester United and Liverpool play out the final chapter of their historic rivalry at Old Trafford.
There must be a winner that day in the two remaining quarterfinals, at which point the four remaining teams will learn their fate in the semifinals.
When is the draw for the FA Cup semi-finals?
The draw for the FA Cup semi-finals will take place after the tie between United and Liverpool concludes, approximately 15 minutes after the final whistle.
The game will begin at 15:30 GMT (11:30 ET).

The 2023/24 FA Cup semi-finals will be played at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April.
There will be no semi-final replays, meaning games that are tied after 90 minutes will go to extra time and, if necessary, penalties.
