Amid recent reports that Euphoria Season 3 faces further delays, or even cancellation, as some rumors allege. An actor from the show who wishes to remain anonymous came forward and expressed doubts about whether Euphoria Will return sometime for a new season.
speaking to The daily beastthe anonymous actor expressed frustration over the delays.
“Since January 2022, we have a start date of March which became June which became January,” they said. “And then they kept pushing every month thereafter. “It was two whole years of HBO telling all the actors we were coming back soon, so we couldn’t take some jobs.”
According to the actor, the cast had been on hold until HBO recently allowed them to pursue new opportunities amid continued delays.
“Before last week I couldn’t take any TV jobs,” they said. “Since they have put it on pause, I can now take any job. But what sucks is that we all had more momentum right when the show came out, but now it’s been two years of waiting.”
This comes after HBO announced another delay, saying that the scripts for season 3 are still being written. But the network says the show is still expected to reach its projected 2025 premiere date.
“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” an HBO spokesperson said. Variety in a sentence. “In the meantime, we are allowing our highly sought-after cast to pursue other opportunities.”
Despite this, the actor claims that season 3 could be a long shot.

The outlet reports that the recent death of producer Kevin Turen could also be a reason behind the delays, noting that he “was the driving force behind the show’s push,” while Levinson was known for making “gut decisions.”
Season 3 was already facing delays following the 2023 Hollywood strikes and the sudden death of rising star Angus Cloud.
