TikTok has seen a surge in popularity in recent years. At first, it was just an app with a lot of dancing and lip-syncing to music. However, today it is a platform with many different types of content and content creators. One of the reasons for this boom is the app’s extensive editing features that are regularly updated, such as Text to Speech.

Instead of simply overlaying text on your carefully created video and having your viewers read and watch, the text can now be read aloud using some automated voice options. This way, the TikTok video is the center of attention for the viewer and adds a more organized look to your content.
However, TikTok’s editing features, such as Text-to-Speech, can be difficult to use, especially for beginners. Continue reading to learn how to use this feature on different devices and find answers to common questions, such as changing voice type.

Why isn’t my text to speech working?
If your Text-to-Speech is not working, the reason could be that your app is not updated. In previous versions of the app, the feature was not available in all countries. Go to Google Play Store on Android or App Store on iOS devices to update your app. Search for “TikTok” and tap “Update” if the option is available in the official Store entry.
If the update doesn’t resolve the issue, you can try reinstalling the app. To do this, long-press the TikTok icon and tap “Delete.” Then, go again to Google Play Store on Android or App Store on iOS devices to install TikTok again.
A third solution is to upgrade your phone. If your phone’s operating system is not updated, it may cause compatibility issues with different apps and some features may not work properly.

Adding different voices and adjusting them to your liking allows you to tap into your creative potential. Please note that you need to change the length of the text. Otherwise, it will remain on the screen even after being read aloud.
