How to join any Twitter space you find
After locating your favorite Twitter spaces, you need to know how to join them.
- Click on your favorite Twitter space. You will get a preview of the hosts and listeners.
- Tap the “Start Listening” option to enter your favorite Twitter space.
- If you want to see other attendees, tap the Guests icon. A list of Space hosts, co-hosts, speakers, and listeners will appear. If you want to view or hide subtitles, use the three-dot menu.
- Find “Adjust settings.”
- Then “View subtitles”.
- If you want to become a speaker after joining a Twitter space, tap the Apply icon and see if the host will allow you to speak. You may not participate as a host, co-host or speaker when accessing the Space from a desktop PC. You can request to speak if you’re in your Twitter app for Android or iOS.
- To submit your comments, click the heart icon. It has five reaction emojis. If you want to express laughter, for example, choose the smiling face emoji.
- To share this space with a friend, there is a Share icon above it. You will receive a link to send to your fans or friends.
- To exit Space, go to the top right corner and tap the “Exit” icon.

Twitter first designed Spaces for Android and iOS app users. In this way, application users can locate new Twitter spaces in the Spaces tab. However, they can find and join a space by clicking on links in tweets.

Manage your listening activity and presence in a Twitter space
Did you know that Twitter Spaces are open to the public? Anyone can enter your Space even if they don’t follow you on Twitter. Everyone you have invited to the Space will see each other. The profile of a person participating in a live audio discussion will have a purple ring.

- Tap the “Profile” icon.
- Click “Settings and privacy.”
- Select the “Privacy and Security” option.
- Scroll to the bottom area and tap the “Spaces” option.
- To block others from your listening activity, turn off Allow followers to see what spaces you’re listening to.
To block some Twitter followers from your Spaces, you must remove them. Select the guest list, open a profile and press Delete. Click the Block and Delete option to prevent someone from accessing your Space and Twitter profile. If you join Space as a co-host, you can remove any user you want.
