You know what they say: distance makes love grow. According to a new report from TMZ, The golden bachelorGerry Turner and Theresa Nist do not live together, the former resides at his lake house in Indiana, while the latter lives in New Jersey.
Fans need not worry, however, as sources informed TMZ about why they haven’t updated their living situation, one of which is purely the “time-consuming” nature of moving out of their homes.
The two are still deciding where they’d like to live, though TMZ heard they’re considering Charleston, South Carolina, as “a good middle ground” between their two homes; It’s also close to where Nist’s son and grandchildren live.
Additionally, Nist hasn’t decided what he plans to do in terms of work, as he still works in New Jersey as a compliance officer, according to the report. The report also notes that both Turner and Nist are “very close” to their families. Sources revealed that “walking away from either of them would be difficult for them.”
While fans witnessed Turner and Nist get engaged during The golden bachelor series finale last November, they finally got married on January 4 during the televised broadcast. Golden weddingwhich was officiated by none other than fan-favorite contestant, Susan Noles.
Despite possible hesitation to move in together right away (and a previous report from OK! Magazine before your big day alleging that the two were “arguing all the time”; TMZ’s sources noted that Turner and Nist “are still madly in love and want to make the marriage work.”
The two “make visitation a priority,” as seen in Turner’s March 17 statement. instagram postwhich showed Nist at her granddaughter’s volleyball game in Indiana.
The golden couple was seen attending last Monday (March 25) Bachelor finale and After the Final Rose special, where Bachelor Nation first learned of Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson’s engagement.
Other golden bachelor Alums in attendance included runner-up Leslie Fhima, Sandra Mason, Kathy Swarts and Noles, the latter two of whom recently launched a podcast together titled golden hour.
