Frankie Muniz reveals he “left the set” of “Malcolm In The Middle” because a colleague was being “controlling” and “disrespectful”: “It was worth it”

Malcolm in the middle Star Frankie Muniz recently revealed that he did not appear in two episodes of the series due to a colleague’s behavior on set.

The former child actor, who currently competes in I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! Australiatalked about her experience on the show with her campmates, telling them, “There were two episodes I’m not in. I walked off the set,” according to News.com.au.

He continued: “Everyone was too afraid to stand up when certain people were controlling, rude or disrespectful. “As if they were walking on pins and needles.”

He did not share the name of the colleague whose behavior led him to leave the set.

“It mortified me very much to see people afraid to defend themselves. I was like, ‘Say something,’” she said.

Muniz starred on the show from 2000 to 2006 as the main character Malcolm, the prodigy middle child of an eccentric family. His performance earned him an Emmy nomination and two Golden Globe nominations.

“I didn’t care if they told me I would never come back, because for me it was worth it. It helped that the show was based on me,” she said.

“Commercials can be surprising or horrendous,” he said in I’m a celebrity. “There’s not much in between. Your job is to keep production on schedule. So when a department like electrical, hair, makeup or sound needs more time to do something right, the account manager often doesn’t want to hear it.”

He continued: “Some are uptight idiots who start yelling and screaming like Gordon Ramsey because when the day is over and they have to feed the crew for the third time and start paying double and lose the child actors, it all falls on their shoulders. “It is an extremely stressful position and I would say most people are not cut out for it.”

Before entering the South African jungle to I’m a celebrity AustraliaMuniz spoke to News.com.au about his experience working in Hollywood when he was a young star.

“I never felt like I completely fit into the world of Hollywood, even though I was in the world. I was nominated for the Emmys and the Golden Globes, I was going to all this, I was there and I thought: How am I here? »She said.

He added that he “hated Los Angeles” and noted that living there was “a miserable experience.”

Muñiz has since left acting to pursue a new career in racing cars.
