It’s been 30 years since William Shatner last appeared on screen as the famous Captain Kirk in a Star Trek movie, but the 93-year-old actor says he could be convinced to return to the franchise.
speaking to The Canadian PressShatner revealed that he would reprise the role, but only under some conditions.
“It’s an intriguing idea,” Shatner said. “It’s almost impossible.” But if it was a great role and it was very well written and if there was a reason to be there not just for a cameo, but if there was a genuine reason for the character to appear, I might consider it.”
The actor suggested that he could return as a younger version of his character with the help of anti-aging technology.
Shatner, who recently signed on to become a spokesperson for Otoy, a company that specializes in anti-aging technology, said it “takes years off your face, so in a movie you can look 10, 20, 30, 50 years younger.” than you.”
