Following Canelo Álvarez’s victory against Jaime Munguía, boxing will see another clash between Mexico and Mexico on May 11. Super featherweights Eduardo Hernández and Daniel Lugo will face each other at the Palenque de la Feria de México in a fight that will be broadcast on DAZN.

In October, Hernandez (34-2) had his six-game winning streak snapped against O’Shaquie Foster in a WBC title fight. In what was later named 2023 Fight of the Year by The Jugo Mobile, Foster survived a top-notch effort from “Rocky” to score a final-round knockout.

The 26-year-old has only fought three times outside of Mexico and is looking for another world title shot.

Lugo (27-2-1) is a rising star who has gone 3-0-1 since having his 21-fight winning streak snapped in 2021. He fought former world champion Mauricio Lara to a draw in his last fight and he easily could have done so. he won that decision.
