The Bellator Champions Series, the PFL’s new name for Bellator events, continues with gold on the line in its final event and top signings competing for bragging rights. Patchy Mix defends the Bellator bantamweight title against Magomed Magomedov in the main event.
Usman Nurmagomedov was supposed to defend the Bellator lightweight title against Alexandr Shabliy, but the former had to withdraw after injuring himself before fight night.

Mix is a former KOTC bantamweight champion who joined Bellator in 2019. He is 9-1 in Bellator-sanctioned fights, touring the competition during the Bellator Bantamweight Grand Prix to win the interim bantamweight title . That includes a win against Magomedov in a semifinal bout. The 30-year-old defeated Sergio Pettis in November 2023 to unify the pision.
Magomedov joined Bellator in 2020 and is 4-2 with the promotion. After losing to Mix, Dagestani bounced back by submitting Danny Sabatello in July.
“In the first fight he surprised me. He used the distance to his advantage. This time I approach the fight differently and people should expect a war. It’s been a year and a half since we saw each other.” and I hope that we have both grown as fighters,” Magomedov said via Shepherd dog. “My tank is full. We can do five rounds, 10 rounds, whatever. We have unfinished business, and this time, I’ll be the one moving forward.”
