Lopez (20-1) is a former unified lightweight champion, who dethroned Vasiliy Lomachenko in 2020. Losing the belts a year later against George Kambosos Jr., “The Takeover” switched pisions and has won four in a row. He beat Josh Taylor for his last remaining super lightweight belts. López seeks to go 2-0 to start 2024.

Claggett (38-7-2) is a former NABF super lightweight champion with a nine-fight winning streak dating back to 2021. The 34-year-old Canadian is competing for world title gold for the first time. He is ranked 13th in the WBO rankings.
