Does life imitate art or the other way around? Before the premiere of the fourth season next Thursday (June 13) BoysVought International, the fictitious corporation of the main video series: has been sharing updates on Homelander’s (Anthony Starr) trial.
The most recent update, which hit social media on Thursday, May 30, showed an image of the upcoming installment that read, “Homelander has been found guilty… of being a great dad!”
This update also coincided with the verdict in former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial, in which he was pleaded guilty of the 34 felony charges.
Around the time of April when the 12 jurors were selected. for Trump trial, Vought International too shared a post mocking that “a record number of patriots applied to be jurors in the Homelander trial, including this local schoolteacher, who was considered biased because he dressed up as his favorite hero ONCE.”
Fans were quick to pick up on the connection and “moment“, as a fan in X wrote“The timing of this post is impeccable.”

Other shared an image from an ABC News report laying out all 34 charges, crossing out Trump’s name and replacing it with Homelander.
Even before Trump’s verdict, showrunner Eric Kripke opened up to Rolling Stone in 2022 about the similarities between Homelander and Trump, as noted FandomWire.
“[Homelander has] “He’s always been a Trump analogue for me,” he told the outlet. “I admit that I am a little balder this season than in past seasons. But the world is becoming coarser and less elegant. The urgency of our team’s writing reflects this.”
Kripke also explained to Deadline how the season 3 finale was inspired by a Trump quote.
Boys, which features Starr, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher Chace Crawford, Laz Alonso and more, was renewed for a fifth season in May. In 2022, a couple of months after season 3 ended, the series introduced two new Supes for season 4: Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) and Firecracker (Valorie Curry).
The first three episodes of Boys It arrived on Prime Video on Thursday, June 13, followed by weekly installments.
