As happened the last time the tournament was played in the United States, back in 2016, the Copa América once again has 16 teams in its 2024 edition.
That will see the competition play more games than in previous years, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will stretch out longer on the calendar.

How long does the Copa América 2024 last?
The 2024 Copa América will feature 16 teams, including all the usual rivals such as Brazil and Argentina, as well as teams such as the United States, Mexico, Canada and Jamaica, as the North American confederation hopes to offer a tough challenge ahead of the FIFA 2026 tournament. in your own backyard.
The opening match, in which Argentina will face Canada, will be played on Thursday, June 20. The competition will continue until Sunday, July 14, with the final taking place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
From its beginning to its end, the Copa América 2024 will last 25 days. Although, there will not be games every day: in total there will be 20 days of action and five of rest.
