The five-game NBA Finals series between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks was viewed as disappointing by most, especially analyst Kendrick Perkins.
Perkins, the former Celtic, took to social media Wednesday night and compared the finals to rapper Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Pop Out and Show’ concert. “This concert is more entertaining than the NBA Finals,” Perkins wrote.

While there’s no denying that Lamar is one of the most entertaining in the business, it’s a little surprising to see Perkins blatantly disrespect the team he spent eight seasons with. However, the retired NBA champion never shies away from bold opinions, regardless of the negative reactions associated with them.
Fans had no problem responding to Perkins in the comments with topics such as disrespect towards his show and past comments. NBA stars DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook also had a nice night at the event, joining Lamar on stage to perform ‘Not Like Us.’
