It looks like Travis Kelce is leaving his television days behind.
Kelce revealed that he turned down the opportunity to appear on NetflixThe new program of Receiver During a recent appearance on the Doing business with the boyspodcast. The new reality show, premiering July 10, follows five of the NFL’s top receivers. The Netflix series is a spin-off of Attacking playerwhich included Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes.
“After Pat did it, I got asked about it. I don’t know. I’d rather just play ball, man. I’m doing enough with the podcast and all that,” Kelce said.
She added: “I’m over that reality shit. I’m out of that shit.”
Kelce’s remarks may come as a surprise considering the NFL star is preparing to present aMain videosplit ofAre you smarter than a fifth grader? He is also set to appear in Ryan Murphy’s new horror drama, Grotesque.
The Chiefs tight end may be moving away from reality TV, but he recently announced that he’s still looking for more “movie deals.”
Kelce announced this during a recent episode of the podcast he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, titledNew Heightswhen they addressed a fan theory that said he had recently been cast in Happy Gilmore 2.

“I didn’t even know there was a vacancy forHappy Gilmore 2But if there is, I’ll be a fucking extra,” Travis joked. “You know, anything to avoid it.Happy Gilmoreeither [an]“Adam Sandler movie or set, count me in.”
He later denied having been cast in the film, though he certainly seemed open to the opportunity.
Jason noted that “there’s really no evidence to support this rumor,” prompting Travis to chime in and add, “Other than the movie is being made and I’m looking into film deals.”
Travis said he would do “anything in the movie,” even if it means playing a caddy.
Although it seems that we will not have another season of Catching Kelce Any day now, the NFL star will likely have a bright future in film ahead of him.
