Bronny James had his best game of the Summer League so far.
The 19-year-old guard struggled from the floor during his first four games, but found his groove in his fifth outing against the Atlanta Hawks.
He scored 12 points and shot 5 of 11 from the field, including two 3-pointers, as the Lakers won 87-86 in regulation. It was the first win for James and the Lakers in Summer League play this year, bringing their record in Las Vegas to 1-2.
James’ biggest mistake of the night came in the third quarter, when he was given a technical foul. Although James thought he was fouled on his way to the basket, the referee called a foul and a turnover on James.
James and the Lakers will continue their Summer League schedule with a game Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
