As reported by the transfer expert Fabricius RomanoEverton have reached an agreement with Lyon to acquire the services of defender Jake O’Brien.
The Merseyside club are currently negotiating personal terms with the 23-year-old Irishman, and the player will have a medical scheduled for Sunday if personal terms are agreed.
Despite joining Lyon just a year ago from Crystal Palace for a paltry £1m ($1.3m), O’Brien has made a name for himself in Ligue 1, making 27 appearances and scoring four times.
His impressive aerial prowess and commanding presence are expected to perfectly complement Sean Dyche’s robust playing style.

With uncertainty surrounding the future of Jarrad Branthwaite, who has been the subject of interest from Manchester United, the Toffees have moved quickly to plug the gap in their defensive ranks.
