Josh Hartnett stars in the new psychological thriller Trapwhich hits theaters this week. Luckily, we’re telling you all the ways you can watch this spooky movie!
Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Trap The story follows Cooper (Hartnett), the father of a teenage girl, Riley (Ariel Donoghue). In addition to that title, Cooper is also a serial killer known as “The Butcher.” One night, he takes Riley to see Lady Raven, one of his favorite pop stars, in concert. However, Cooper soon realizes that the entire concert is a setup to trap and arrest him once and for all. Will Cooper have to pay for his crimes or will he walk free?
So where can you watch it? TrapWill it be on Max? And on Netflix?

WHERE TO SEE TRAP:
For the moment, the only way to see it Trap is to go to the movies when it opens on Friday, August 2. You can look for a local showing at FandangoOtherwise, you’ll have to wait until it’s available to rent or buy on digital platforms like Vudu. Apple TV, Youtube and Amazon, or is available to stream on Max. Read on for more information.
WHEN TRAP WILL IT BE STREAMED ON MAX? WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR TRAP MAX?
Trap Warner Bros. Pictures is distributing it, which means it will eventually join Max. Since the company no longer releases its movies on the streaming platform the same day they are released in theaters, we have to wait at least 45 days after the release before we can watch the movie from the comfort of our living rooms.
While there is no official streaming release date yet, The color Purpleanother Warner Bros. film, opened in theaters on December 25 and didn’t hit Max until February 16, eight weeks after its debut. Trap follows the same trajectory, we may not be able to broadcast it until early October 2024.
WILLPOWER TRAP BE ON NETFLIX?
Warner Bros. Discovery movies typically head to Max after their release. However, it’s absolutely possible that Trap could join Netflix at some point in the future. That possibility is due to a deal signed between the two streaming giants that gave Netflix Transmission rights for Eight DCEU moviesalong with other Warner Bros. Discovery projects like the original Dune Movie and Meg 2: The Trench.
