Juno, codenamed “Space Ranger” before her reveal, is the new Martian hero in Overwatch 2 Season 12. Here’s everything we know about the heroine, including her release date, abilities, and more.

Overwatch 2 developers have been busy over the past year. Season 9 saw a massive overhaul of the competitive mode, and the arrival of Venture in Season 10 was well-received from a gameplay perspective. While Season 11 was quiet, it rolled out the red carpet for the Space Ranger in Season 12.

Now that the season is just around the corner, the game’s developers have given us a sneak peek at what we can expect from it. Here’s everything we know so far about Overwatch 2’s first Martian hero, Space Ranger.

Does Juno have a release date for Overwatch 2?

Juno is release planned for season 12who will arrive on August 20, 2024as confirmed in Juno reveal trailer.

Much like the previous few heroes, Juno was available for testing for a limited time before her full release in Season 12, though she will now be unavailable until the season officially launches.

You’ll be able to try Juno in the new Clash mode coming to the game, a mode that revives beloved maps from Overwatch 1 with a twist.

Additionally, all of Overwatch 2’s new heroes are free to play starting now, meaning you’ll be able to play Space Ranger the day he arrives in the game.

Juno’s Skills, Role, and More in Overwatch 2

As it was already the case teased at BlizzCon 2023Juno will be the new support hero in Overwatch 2.

Juno’s main fire, Mediblasteris a burst-fire weapon that heals allies and deals damage to enemies. You can think of it as a hybrid of Baptiste’s burst fire and Ana’s biotic rifle.

Its secondary fire, Pulsar torpedoeswill fire homing projectiles that lock onto your target. This will heal your allies over time or deal damage to enemies.

Glide boost, who is its mobility capacitycan be used to make Juno slide horizontally with increased movement speed. She also has a passive, Martian Overbootswhich allows him to double jump and hold the Jump key to glide.

Hyper-ring lets Juno place a large ring that allies can pass through to gain a movement speed boost. His ultimate, Orbital Rayis a massive beam that moves forward while healing allies and increasing their damage.

As for Juno’s story, all we know from the game’s teasers is that she went to graduate school with Mei and crash-landed on Earth in a capsule.
