Upcoming PS5 Exclusives
2023 was a big year for Sony with games like Horizon Forbidden West and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releasing exclusively on PS5, and 2024 looks to be just as big for the current-gen console.

Astro Robot
An all-new Astro Bot game, the sequel to Astro’s Playroom and the third game in the series, is coming exclusively to PlayStation 5. Following the success of its predecessor, the developers wanted to make Astro Bot a celebration of PlayStation history while solidifying Astro Bot as his own character.
Silent Hill 2 Remake
Silent Hill 2, the horror phenomenon that took the world by storm on PlayStation 2, has finally gotten a confirmed release date for its remake. The game is being developed by Bloober Team, the studio behind games like Observer: System Redux and Blair Witch (2019).
While reception to the combat reveal trailer has been very divided, with many complaining about how the remake ruined the original game’s feel, it remains to be seen whether the remake lives up to the original.
PS5 Exclusives With Unannounced Release Date
As for the games listed below, only those coming to PS5 as a console exclusive, console exclusive, or timed console exclusive have been included.
So while Bungie is part of PlayStation’s first-party stable, Marathon isn’t listed because the team confirmed it was also in development for Xbox Series X|S.

Star Blade
Stellar Blade is a hack-and-slash game from Korean developer Shift Up. In Stellar Blade, you play as Eve, the protagonist who navigates a post-apocalyptic world and must defend herself against hostile mutant-like enemies known as NA:tives.
It’s a game that draws inspiration from a variety of titles, including the Souls series and the Bayonetta franchise.
The Rise of the Ronin
Rise of the Ronin is an action RPG set in Japan in 1863, developed by developers Team Ninja. Coming from the team behind popular Soulslike titles like Noah and Wo Long: Fallan Dynasty, it features challenging combat to face.
With a dynamic open world to explore, bonds to cultivate with various allies, and an emphasis on player choice, ROTR delivers an immersive experience where your every choice can impact those around you.
Final Fantasy 7 Renaissance
Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second part of the FF7 Remake trilogy.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth continues the journey of Cloud and his gang and marks the second installment in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy.
While the first installment in the Remake series focused almost entirely on the Midgar section of the original 1997 game, Rebirth sees the world open up as Cloud and his friends travel across the globe on an epic quest to stop Shinra and Sephiroth.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Insomniac GamesMarvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the long-awaited sequel to Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man.
While Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and its Miles Morales-based sequel launched a new Spiderverse, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 expanded it in several ways. You have a larger New York City to explore, numerous villains to fight, and two Spider-Men to play as: Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

Final Fantasy XVI
Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XVI is the latest installment in the beloved JRPG franchise.
Although this installment is the 16th Final Fantasy game, this franchise never seems to falter or waver in its success. Final Fantasy consistently impresses and from the looks of it, Final Fantasy 16 will be no exception.
With classic characters, the style that many know and love, and equally fantastic weapons, this will be a game that everyone should try, even if it is only a timed exclusive.
Final Fantasy XIV will be released on PC on September 17, 2024.
Forbidden horizon to the west, burning shores
Guerrilla GamesHorizon Forbidden West Burning Shores is the expansion of the hit title.
Burning Shores is the DLC expansion for Horizon Forbidden West that sees Aloy travel to Los Angeles where she will meet new allies, face even more dangerous machines, and live a captivating adventure. For fans of previous Horizon games, Burning Shores is a must-have.
