After the shocking twist in last week’s chapter, everyone is eagerly awaiting Oshi no Ko Chapter 159 – here’s when the chapter will release and what to expect next.
Ever since Oshi no Ko revealed the final villain of the story in Chapter 155, everyone was expecting something shocking to happen. However, no one saw the brutal incident in Chapter 158 coming. In this chapter, Ruby is stabbed by a mysterious assailant, just like Ai.
On top of that, we learn that Ruby has already surpassed her mother as an idol. Hikaru Kamiki also regrets his actions and considers going to the police after discovering Ai’s true feelings for him.
This means that her role as the antagonist of the story is over. Now, it’s Nino who we have to watch, and she’s already made the first move. We’ve been waiting to see what she’ll do next for over a week, but the hiatus is finally over with the upcoming return of Oshi no Ko.

Oshi no Ko Chapter 159 Spoilers
Shueisha
Chapter 158 left a lot of questions hanging, some of which are answered in Oshi no Ko Chapter 159. Spoilers for the upcoming episode reveal that the fan theories were true after all, at least to some extent. Akane really is connected to the stabbing, but not in the way most predicted.
It turns out that Ruby’s stabbing has a completely crazy twist, as it wasn’t her in the first place. That day, Akane disguised herself as the younger Hoshino twin and opened the door, only to be stabbed by Nino. But it was a thoughtful move on her part as she had come prepared with a stab-proof vest.
This was all part of the plan to trap Nino and catch her red-handed. Although we don’t know for sure yet, Aqua must have been involved in this as well. He’s most likely behind all of this, as his conversation with Akane in Chapter 155 already suggested that something was up.
Thanks to Akane’s brave move, Nino was finally caught red-handed and Ruby’s concert goes off without a hitch. This also indicates that Oshi no Ko’s ending might be coming sooner than expected.
Elsewhere, Aqua and Hikaru watch the concert through a phone. But Aqua suddenly calls the old man a liar, and Hikaru cryptically replies, “What are you talking about?” While it seems like a harmless question, his big, cutesy smile and the black stars in his eyes suggest that he is the real villain of Oshi no Ko after all.
