Everyone is expecting a massive leap forward from generational talent Victor Wembanyama this season, but no one is anticipating a bigger leap than a former Philadelphia 76ers guard.
Patrick Beverley ranked the best NBA centers in a recent episode of his podcastwhere Wembanyama was not named. Indeed, the now foreign star not only considers the San Antonio Spurs great a positionless player, but also the best player in the league.
“He’s not a five,” Beverley said. “He’s everything. You can’t even compare him to other players, he’s the best player in the NBA next year. He’s a center who shoots three-pointers and dribbles the ball.”

The only real concern for the first-round pick going forward is injuries.
