Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reiterated his stance that he will not seek a return to management.
Klopp has opted to leave his role at Anfield at the end of the 2023/24 season after leading the Reds to their first-ever Premier League title in 2020 and a UEFA Champions League crown in 2019.
The German coach said in an interview with ESPN In July he declared he was “done” with management, with the 57-year-old effectively announcing his retirement from the game.
As part of his early retirement, Klopp has been spotted at various sporting events, including the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, with a reduction in pressure clearly visible.
He took charge of a farewell match at his former club Borussia Dortmund this weekend as the Bundesliga side said goodbye to their long-time former duo Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski.

An emotional Klopp said the chance to manage a team again at Signal Iduna Park was a “dream come true” but confirmed he had no plans to return to the touchline.
“There’s no way I’m going to stop working completely, but I don’t see myself continuing at the same pace as before,” he said at the end of the season.
“I still work today, but not as much as before. I don’t just do nothing, but sometimes I do. I don’t miss anything!”
Klopp could be brought out of retirement later, with the German national team manager job an option, if Julian Nagelsmann steps down after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
