Here’s everything you need to know about creating and importing a MyPlayer face scan for NBA 2K25.
It’s a tradition that’s been a long time coming for NBA 2K games. Just like in previous games, basketball fans can import their own face scan into the game to create their own MyPlayer.
However, NBA 2K25 players who want to do this will need software external to the console game. Here’s a rundown of what needs to be done to create and import a face scan.
Create and import a face scan for MyPlayer
First of all, make sure you download the MyNBA 2K Companion AppIt is available for the Apple App and Google Play stores, as well as the update for NBA 2K25.
The app is the same as for 2K25. However, keep in mind that the app is updated, so make sure to update it if necessary. Also, click on the “NBA 2K(#)” box in the upper right corner of the screen to make sure you are using the correct version of the app. There are three: one each for 2K23, 2K24, and 2K25.
Once on version 2K25, select the “Face Scan” box. Then, accept the terms and conditions to continue.
The face scanning process will require players to scan their face with their smartphone, and this will involve lining up the face with a marker and then slowly moving left and right to ensure the entire face is scanned. Also, make sure to do this in an environment with good lighting.
The face scanning process may take a few minutes.

Once this step is completed, go to MyCareer and create a version. There will be an option in the customization suite, under “Appearance,” to verify the scanned facial data. This can be done before starting a MyCareer file or after.
