Cristiano Ronaldo continued to score goals for Saudi side Al Nassr at the age of 39 throughout the 2023/24 campaign, but it ended on a sour note when his side lost the Kings Cup final to Al Hilal.
Ronaldo moved to the Middle East a month after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, closing the chapter on his extraordinary European career.
Al Nassr boasts an impressive collection of 28 official trophies and, domestically, the club has won nine Pro League titles, six King’s Cups, three Crown Prince Cups, three Federation Cups and two Super Cups.
Ronaldo’s team lost the league title to Al Ittihad last season and Al Hilal were crowned champions in 2023/24. Al Nassr were also eliminated from the AFC Champions League on penalties by Al Ain and lost on penalties to Al Hilal on May 31.
He began his latest quest to win trophies in Riyadh in August 2024, starting the 2024/25 season with the Saudi Super Cup.

Ronaldo will not play in the AFC Champions League match between Al Shorta and Al Nasr. The forward was forced to stay at home on the advice of the club’s medical department after contracting a virus.

Al Nassr will again participate in five competitions in the 2024/25 season, including the Saudi Pro League, King Cup, AFC Champions League, Arab Champions Cup and Saudi Super Cup.
They began their season in the domestic Super Cup on 14 August, with their first Pro League match coming eight days later.
