On Monday, September 16, 2024, Apple released the stable version of iOS 18, the latest software version for iPhones. Ever since Apple’s biggest software update debuted, fans have been dying to get their hands on the brilliant Apple Intelligence features. Is Apple Intelligence available in iOS 18?

Apple will begin rolling out AI to eligible users with the new iOS 18.x updates in October. If you don’t live in the United States, Apple Intelligence will be available in December in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. It will be followed in 2025 by French, Chinese, Japanese and Spanish.
Not all iPhones running iOS 18 will benefit from Apple Intelligence features
It’s important to know that not all iPhones will benefit from Apple’s upcoming AI system. Even if your iPhone is included in the iOS 18 compatible devices, this does not necessarily mean that it will be included in the list of devices compatible with Apple Intelligence. In fact, Apple Intelligence requires at least one A17 Pro chipset or M series chips (on iPad and Mac). Therefore, only the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all iPhone 16 models are compatible with Apple Intelligence. If you have an older model, even last year’s iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, you can’t use the writing tools, the summary feature, the Reduce Interruptions focus mode, and more. You’ll need to upgrade your iPhone to use all the AI features.
