The Tempest is a new class in the Diablo series and, at least for now, it’s exclusive to Diablo Immortal. But is this water wizard right for you?
As excitement for Diablo 4’s upcoming character class, the Spiritborn, continues to grow, Diablo Immortal has released its second all-new class. Following in the footsteps of the Blood Knight, the Tempest has never before been seen in a Diablo game, with Immortal being its first and only appearance.
The Tempest is a class that uses the power of the elements to kill demons and is, in some ways, a mix between the sorcerer and monk classes. The class is also unique, being the first “light character” that is not faith-based as a holy warrior.
Instead, Tempests are all about the tides and wind, harnessing those forces to send Diablo’s minions straight back to hell in a torrent of watery death. Here’s the best Tempest build in Diablo Immortal this season, and how to create it.

Best Storm Build
By far the best Storm build in Diablo Immortal is the Building affected by fogtaking advantage of the class’s main selling point, their key passive ability, Mist-Touched.
This liability continuously summons servants called Zephyrs who fight alongside the Tempest and replicate their abilities. As these minions are timed, they are different from the Necromancer’s skeletons but serve a similar function.
Zephyrs are triggered by your basic attacksmeaning you’ll need to attack quickly to increase your chances of summoning them. Once a Zephyr dies, it drops an orb that can empower allies for 10 seconds and even summon a new Zephyr. Your Skills can also be used to summon a Zephyr.
You can have three active Zephyrs at any given time and the goal should be to produce them as quickly as possible for maximum damage and support. Therefore, the best Tempest build should be designed around the skills that best fit and complement the Mist-Touched ability.
SKILLS
Here are the best skills to use for the Mist-Touched build:
Main competence
- Wave Edge (Ultimate Ability of the Power of the Deep)
Passive skill
Secondary skills
- Fluid strikes
- Rolling surf
- Fury of the storm
- Wind Walk
The above four sub-skills will help you strengthen your Zephyrs and yourself, making you a more powerful force. They will also increase your chances of summoning more Zephyrs by increasing the speed and damage of your main skills.
Gear
To increase savagery and building efficiency, we recommend hunting down and equipping the following legendary items:
- Head:Look downwind
- Shoulders: Safe Borders
- Chest:Zephyrguard
- Legs: Flared headlight
- Main hand: Shriekworth and Harmonious Castill
- Left hand: No second chance and hurricane
Used with the Mist-Touched build, these items will help you be totally devastating in PVE and PVP.
Blizzard EntertainmentThe Tempest class is still very effective this season.
Is The Storm good this season?
Yes, the Storm is classified as S-Class in season 30.
We expect this to be the case for a while longer, starting with Season 31. This is mainly because the game continues to do a lot of marketing and prioritizing this class, which is the most recent to be released.
Since most of the Storm class’s offense relies on the Mist Touched skill and Zephyrs, it is a relatively easy class to use and master.
Who are the Storms?
The Storms join the fight against Diablo and his minions after their home island is attacked by demons. Tired of the influence of primordial evil on their land, the Storms rescue sailors, slay the attacking demons, and make their declaration of war against Hell known to all.
Is The Tempest Right for Me?
While their playstyle is very different, the Tempest class is very similar to the Monk, but imbued with elemental magic like the Sorcerer. Those who want to play with a lightning-fast melee class while casting a full range of spells will enjoy this new character.
As the Tempest uses the power of the ocean and wind to kill its enemies, it plays very differently from the Sorcerer, and unlike the Monk, its primary weapons are swords and daggers, setting it apart from anything that came before it. They are essentially the warriors of Diablo’s version of Atlantis, and they seek to wipe out the fires of Hell.
