The New York Giants will once again be without the catalyst of the offense going into the Week 6 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Nabers didn’t practice at all last week and was still in the concussion protocol after exiting the game late against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4.

The Giants got some great production from Darius Slayton in Week 5, who recorded eight receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown in place of Nabers as the de-facto WR1.

However, Nabers wasn’t able to practice all week due to the concussion.

Malik Nabers injury update

As the Giants wrapped up this week of practice, head coach Brian Daboll told reporters Friday that Nabers will be ruled out on the final injury report.

Due to the volatile nature of concussions in terms of the variety of recovery times spanning between each player, it’s unclear when Nabers will be able to return.

He hadn’t logged even a limited practice going into Friday, and that’s the next step for him progressing through the protocol.

After pulling off the upset in Week 5 over the Seahawks, the Giants will be back home to host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6 on Sunday Night Football.

They’ll look to pull off another upset against the Bengals, but they’ll have to do it without Nabers.
