During Golden State’s loss to LA in its home opener, Curry suffered an apparent lower leg injury that caused him to briefly exit the game. Shortly after returning to the floor, Curry aggravated the injury and exited for good.

What is Stephen Curry’s injury?
Curry’s injury is a left peroneal strain, the Warriors announced Monday. An MRI revealed no structural damage in Curry’s left leg.
He first suffered the injury in the third quarter when planting his foot to run around screens. Curry aggravated the injury early in the fourth quarter when he attempted to set a back screen for teammate Moses Moody.

Curry, 36, was plagued by ankle injuries throughout the early stages of his career. His ankle issues have subsided greatly since he began playing in ankle braces, but the protective gear could not prevent his issue against the Clippers.
He exited Sunday’s game with 18 points (on 6-of-11 shooting), six assists, four rebounds, two steals and six turnovers in 27 minutes.
What is a peroneal strain?
As explained by the Cleveland Clinic, there are two peroneal tendons in each leg. They are bands of tissue that connect muscles in your lower leg to bones in your foot and help stabilize your foot and ankle.
Curry suffered a strain of one of those tendons in his left leg.
How long is Stephen Curry out?
Curry will be re-evaluated Friday, Nov. 1, meaning he will miss at least the next two games.
The amount of time missed depends on the team’s assessment following re-evaluation. The Warriors will play three games in the six days after Sunday’s loss to the Clippers, including a back-to-back against the Pelicans on Tuesday and Wednesday.
