Will Trevor Lawrence play this week? Injury update on Jaguars’ QB
The beating that Lawrence took last week against the Eagles certainly had lasting effects. He hasn’t been able to practice in full this week, logging three straight limited sessions. Given his limited participation, Lawrence is listed as questionable on the team’s official injury report.

Lawrence may be questionable, but he’s trending towards sitting on the bench this Sunday. When asked about Lawrence’s status, head coach Doug Pederson said, “It is trending, obviously, in a way that’s probably to not playing or leaning towards not playing.” Barring significant improvements ahead of game time, Lawrence seems like a long shot to play this week.
Jaguars’ QB Depth Chart: Who is Trevor Lawrence’s Backup?
If Lawrence is indeed unable to play, Jacksonville will roll with former Patriot Mac Jones at quarterback. Jones joined the team this offseason and has slotted in as the QB2 on the depth chart since arriving in Jacksonville.
Jones has played in relief of Lawrence in two games this season, attempting nine passes and completing six of them. This would be Jones’ first start since his time in New England, where he held a record of 18-24 as a starter.

Lawrence had strung together several strong performances in a row and has been the QB11 this season and the QB8 across the last five weeks. Unfortunately, if you were planning on plugging Lawrence into your starting lineup this week, you should plan to look elsewhere.
