Should You Buy the Oura Ring 3?
Although it’s last gen, the Oura Ring 3 is still a very viable purchase, especially since the Oura Ring 4 goes for a pricier $349. Now, the discounted price makes it all the more enticing, since you don’t really lose out on much. You still get a titanium exterior, but there’s epoxy used on the inside.
The sensor accuracy has certainly been improved on the Oura Ring 4, but the 8 signal pathways on the Ring 3 are still phenomenal. As for sensors, you get it all, right from solid sleep analysis and advanced temperature monitoring to 24/7 heart rate tracking SpO2 sensing, and more.
The battery life isn’t any different either, and you get up to 7 days on the Ring 3 in comparison to 8 on the Ring 4. Additionally, the Oura Ring 3 is water-resistant up to 13 meters as well, making it a great companion for your swimming sessions.
Moreover, if you want a smart ring that actually looks like a ring, the Horizon variant that’s on sale is certainly the way to go. Unlike the Heritage model, the Horizon doesn’t come with the plateau top, which I personally am not that fond of either. Besides, Oura also gives you a month of free subscription, post which it costs $5.99 per month or $69.99 on a yearly basis.
