Alongside the likely possibility of a low-key mid-season market in terms of new faces, Arteta does not want internal disruption, despite certain players frustrated by their playing time this season.
Poland international Jakub Kiwior has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium after making just two EPL starts so far this season.
With William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes established as Arteta’s first choice central defensive pairing, Kiwior has only come into the team due to the latter’s injury, and he is frustrated at a back up role.
The 24-year-old is rumoured to be open to a return to Italy, with interest from multiple clubs, but Arteta is ready to resist.
As per reports from the Daily Mirror, Arteta will reject loan and transfer offers for Kiwior, with Napoli and Juventus now adding themselves to the listed of interested parties.
Arsenal reportedly rejected summer offers for the former Spezia defender, with Arteta still valuing him as a squad option, and with injuries to Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu – he could play an increased part in 2025.
The possibility of an exit next summer remains open, but Arteta will battle against mid-season changes, as he aims for a first league title as Gunners boss.
