The Dallas Cowboys really can’t catch a break this year.
Dallas struggled out of the gate and then injuries completely ruined the season. The Cowboys didn’t throw in the towel and won two straight games, but lost on Monday night against the Cincinnati Bengals in a back-breaking 27-20 defeat.
The Cowboys now are 5-8 on the season and have to win their final four games of the season just to finish above .500. But with all of the injuries they have, that seems extremely unlikely. Over the next four weeks, the Cowboys will face off against the Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Commanders.
Here are predictions for the Cowboys’ final four games and a final record prediction:
Dallas Cowboys (5-8) vs. Carolina Panthers (3-10)Carolina has looked better lately, but the Cowboys still should win this game. It likely won’t be pretty, but the Cowboys still have enough on both sides of the ball to pull this one out.
Prediction: Cowboys: 20 Panthers: 17
Dallas Cowboys (5-8) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6)This is where things may not get pretty for Dallas. Tampa Bay is going to enter this contest needing a win to help with its playoff chances. The Buccaneers have been better than the Cowboys and this should be reflected here.
Prediction: Buccaneers: 30 Cowboys: 17
Dallas Cowboys (5-8) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (11-2)Dallas already has gotten blown out by the Eagles once this season. It’s a division game near the end of the season so hopefully, it is competitive, but the Cowboys aren’t close to Philadelphia this year.
Prediction: Eagles: 24 Cowboys: 9
Dallas Cowboys (5-8) vs. Washington Commanders (8-5)Like Tampa Bay, Washington likely will enter this contest desperate for a win. The Cowboys already have beaten Washington once, but it would be shocking to do so again.
Prediction: Commanders: 25 Cowboys: 18
Final Record Prediction: 6-11, third place in the NFC East, and missing the playoffs.
