The Orlando Magic and Sacramento Kings could engage in a humongous trade before February 6.
As Orlando continues to rise in the Eastern Conference, Sacramento has hit a wall and might pivot in a new direction before having to pay big money to De’Aaron Fox.
Fox’s trade value has never been higher, and it might behoove the Kings to trade him now rather than next season if they plan on moving him.
On Tuesday, Fadeaway World’s Ishaan Bhattacharya made the interesting point that Fox is exactly the kind of player Orlando needs to get to the next level. Bhattacharya also outlined the type of trade that could take place between the Magic and Kings involving Fox.
For a return of Fox and Colby Jones, Bhattacharya predicted the Magic sending Sacramento a massive package comprised of Jonathan Isaac, Anthony Black, Jett Howard, four first-round picks (2025 via Denver, 2026, 2028, 2030), and two second-rounders.
“This is a rich package for Fox, but his performances over the last three seasons have firmly established him as one of the best guards in the NBA,” Bhattacharya said.
“The only glaring weakness for the Magic is their guard play and offensive creation, so acquiring Fox will fix that problem while adding another player who can adapt to their defensive identity, albeit for a massive trade package.”
