Although the Los Angeles Lakers finally cut ties with an erratic performer in D’Angelo Russell, they still lack a reliable point guard.
Landing a Sacramento Kings superstar needing a fresh start would be ideal for the franchise.

Fox is enjoying an All-Star-caliber season in Sacramento, but the Kings can’t claim they’re having a stress-free campaign.
Following an unacceptable 13-18 start with a competitive roster, Kings head coach Mike Brown was relieved of his duties last Friday.
There are rumors that Fox and Brown didn’t boast the most close-knit player-coach relationship, which may have contributed to the 2023 NBA Coach of the Year’s early firing.
With a change of scenery, the 6-foot-3 speed demon would receive an opportunity to join a Lakers organization with legitimate championship aspirations.
Unfortunately, Bitar’s trade proposal would require the Lakers to move on from a promising 23-year-old rookie in Dalton Knecht to receive Fox.
However, if Los Angeles decides to pursue the former Kentucky star, Knecht will have to resume his career in Sacramento.
