Mr. Fantastic comes to Marvel Rivals on January 10, 2025, right at the start of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. You’ll get to play him at 1 AM PST (4 AM EDT), and he’s launching alongside Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman. The other half of the Fantastic Four team – Human Torch and The Thing – will show up about six weeks later.

Mr Fantastic Role and Combat Abilities
Mr. Fantastic joins the roster as a Duelist, meaning he’s designed for dealing damage and engaging in direct combat. His elastic abilities let him stretch and contort his body, making him both a mobile and versatile fighter.
The recently released gameplay footage shows him using these powers creatively, from grabbing multiple enemies to inflating his muscles for powerful attacks. Based on the gameplay reveal, Mr. Fantastic’s abilities include:
- Stretching Strikes: He can extend his arms to punch enemies from a distance.
- Multi-Target Grab: Reed can grab two enemies at once and slam them together.
- Muscle Inflation: Similar to Hulk’s style, he can bulk up his body and deflect incoming damage.
- Ultimate Ability: His ultimate involves a series of aerial slam attacks, comparable to Winter Soldier’s style but with his unique elastic twist.
What Else is Coming in Marvel Rivals Season 1
The new season isn’t just about Mr. Fantastic. You’re also getting some new maps to fight in, like the Sanctum Sanctorum and Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown. There’s a new game mode called Doom Match, where 8 to 12 players fight in different teams, and only the top half of players win. The Battle Pass is bigger too, with twice as much stuff to unlock compared to Season 0.
