Liverpool fans have been anxiously waiting for news about their top stars. With Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Trent Alexander-Arnold all nearing the end of their contracts, speculation has been growing.

Now, new reports suggest that two of them are close to signing new deals — but one key player’s future remains in doubt.

The uncertainty around these contracts has led to intense rumors. Salah has been linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, while Real Madrid are said to be interested in Alexander-Arnold.

Van Dijk, despite his leadership at Liverpool, has also been the subject of exit talks. The fear of losing all three has kept fans on edge. But now, there is some good news.

Paul Robinson provides new contract updates on Liverpool stars

According to former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson, Liverpool have nearly secured new contracts for Van Dijk and Salah.

Speaking on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Robinson stated, “From what I’m hearing, Van Dijk and Salah are as good as done.”

He believes these extensions make perfect sense, especially for Salah, who remains one of the best players in the Premier League.

However, Alexander-Arnold’s contract remains unresolved. Liverpool reportedly do not expect a decision from the defender until the end of the season. If he does leave, it could be a major loss for the club.

Liverpool’s future under Arne Slot

New manager Arne Slot has been careful in his approach, making only small adjustments to Jurgen Klopp’s system. Robinson noted that while some changes will come in the summer, a full squad overhaul is unlikely.

Former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher has urged the club not to sign a replacement for Alexander-Arnold if he leaves. Instead, he believes young right-back Conor Bradley is ready to step up.

While fans can celebrate Van Dijk and Salah’s likely extensions, Alexander-Arnold’s future remains a concern, as per Robinson.

As Liverpool sit at the top of the Premier League, the club must now focus on securing their long-term plans.
