Barcelona president Joan Laporta has strongly responded to La Liga’s latest Financial Fair Play (FFP) statement, calling it an attempt to damage the club’s reputation.
His comments come as Barcelona continue to face scrutiny over their financial dealings, particularly regarding the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.

“We’re playing a key match tonight and La Liga is communicating this morning. Strange!” Laporta said, implying that these controversies often emerge before big games.
La Liga recently ruled that Barcelona’s sale of VIP seats at the new Spotify Camp Nou would not count toward their financial calculations.

This move significantly impacts their salary limit and puts Olmo and Victor’s registration at risk. The decision follows multiple audits, with inconsistencies in financial reporting raising further concerns.
Laporta, however, remains firm on the club’s stance. “Regarding the League’s statement, I would like to say that we see it as a further attempt to harm the interests of FC Barcelona and damage the club’s image.”
He reassured fans that Barcelona will take all necessary steps to fight back. “The club will respond once the legal department has thoroughly analyzed the League’s statement. No one should doubt that we will respond in the strongest possible way.”

He emphasized that Barcelona would not back down, pledging to continue defending the club’s interests at all costs.
