The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off their fourth straight NFC South division title and have had a solid offseason so far. They kept key veterans Chris Godwin and Lavonte David on new contracts, and they added pass rusher Haason Reddick in free agency.
However, they could still use a little more help on the defensive side of the football after finishing 16th in points allowed and 29th in passing yards given up in 2024. They will have the No. 19 pick in the upcoming NFL draft, but if they get a little lucky, they could end up with another significant piece on defense.
According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Buccaneers met with Mykel Williams, a talented pass rusher out of Georgia who is expected to go pretty high in the draft.

As a freshman during the 2022 season, Williams played a key role in Georgia winning the College Football Playoff National Championship. He finished that season with 4.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss, and in three years with the Bulldogs, he totaled 14.0 sacks, 23 tackles for loss and 67 total tackles (41 solo).
He has prototypical edge rusher size at 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, and he plays with lots of force and physicality.
Williams may not be a finished product yet and may still have some growth to do as far as fine-tuning his fundamentals, but he’s an intriguing and attractive prospect who should be able to enrich any one of a number of NFL teams.

He was named to the All-SEC second team in both of the last two seasons, and shortly after he started out with Georgia, head coach Kirby Smart said that Williams’ work ethic was outstanding.
