The Green Bay Packers have yet to add any weapons for Jordan Love this offseason, which has certainly not sat well with Packers fans hoping the front office would land Love a legitimate No. 1 option.
Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks and Christian Watson are all talented wide receivers, but none of them are true top-level threats, and Watson just tore his ACL this past December.
Green Bay missed out on D.K. Metcalf, and it was unable to sign any big-name receivers in free agency. That means the Packers may have to punt to the NFL Draft, unless there is still a blockbuster trade potentially on the table.
Bleacher Report’s Mitch Milani thinks it’s a possibility, proposing a trade in which the Packers would land star pass-catcher Garrett Wilson from the New York Jets.
In Milani’s proposal, Green Bay would send the 23rd overall pick to the Jets in exchange for Wilson, who was a rumored trade candidate earlier in the offseason.
Of course, things have since changed for New York, as the Jets released Davante Adams, an indication that they absolutely plan on keeping Wilson—and perhaps extending him.

The 24-year-old has two years of club control remaining on his contract, so New York does not nave to be in any rush to move him. If the Packers were able to poach Wilson from Gang Green, however, it would represent a colossal pickup that could very well put Green Bay over the top in a crowded NFC.
Imagine a receiving corps of Wilson, Reed, Doubs and Wicks? Heck, acquiring Wilson would also open up the Packers to potentially trade Doubs for another asset to fill a need elsewhere on the roster.
Green Bay is not far from genuine Super Bowl contention. All the Packers really need is a bona fide offensive weapon and perhaps another piece or two defensively, and they would be right there.
