With just one week left in the regular season, the NBA playoff picture is still very murky.
The Warriors are once again a playoff threat, as they are entering their first playoffs with Jimmy Butler alongside Stephen Curry. However, Golden State is still in danger of playing in the Play-In Tournament, so they will need a strong close to the season to ensure they earn a top-six seed.

Warriors playoff scenarios 2025
Entering the final two games of the season, the Warriors still have a lot to play out. Golden State has a 47-33 record, taking a crucial loss to the Spurs on April 9.
The Warriors can’t earn the first, second, or third seed in the West, but they could rise as high as the four-seed if things break their way. On the other hand, Golden State could then fall as low as the eight-seed if they have a rough final week of the regular season.
With the Lakers have tiebreakers in their favor against the Warriors, the loss to the Spurs ensured Golden State couldn’t earn the No. 3 seed.
It is possible that the Warriors are fully at the whims of tiebreaker scenarios, which could make a difference between clinching a playoff spot and playing in the Play-In Tournament. Currently, the Warriors would finish as the No. 6 seed.

Warriors potential playoff opponents
The Warriors fate will be heavily determined by the final two games of the regular season. Golden State is currently projected to be the No. 6 seed which means it will visit host the No. 3 seed Lakers in the first round. The Warriors could certainly fall into the Play-In Tournament though, where it could face teams like the Timberwolves and Grizzlies.
