The Miami Dolphins are expected to make some offseason moves sooner rather than later—particularly when it comes to parting ways with two of their top veterans: Tyreek Hill and Jalen Ramsey. While both players have impressive resumes, it increasingly feels like neither is a long-term fit in Miami.

Tyreek Hill has faced a bit of turmoil this offseason. In addition to undergoing two wrist surgeries—which he recently confirmed—he also found himself in controversy involving the Colts. The incident stemmed from a social media post showing Hill as a Dolphin being stopped by a Coast Guard.

As for Jalen Ramsey, multiple teams have expressed interest in acquiring the veteran cornerback. However, Miami’s unwillingness to absorb any portion of his hefty contract has become the main obstacle to finalizing a deal.

“The Dolphins appear unwilling to take on any of Jalen Ramsey’s guaranteed money to facilitate a trade. Teams are very interested in trading for Ramsey, but don’t want to take on his full contract. This is the current hold up,”Jeremy Fowler reported.

A team to keep an eye on in the Ramsey sweepstakes is the Los Angeles Rams—the franchise with whom Ramsey won a Super Bowl. A reunion appears possible, as the bond between Ramsey and the Rams organization remains strong. Head coach Sean McVay still holds Ramsey in high regard and would reportedly welcome him back with open arms. A timeline for a potential deal may have already surfaced.

“ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports ‘there’s more interest in Jalen Ramsey than people realize.’ Trade could be announced in June, potentially. Schefter notes if trade happens before, it wouldn’t be processed until after June 1 for cap reasons,” Barry Jackson posted.

It appears increasingly likely that the Dolphins will move on from Ramsey, and a deal could come within the next month. However, what Miami hopes to receive in return—or is willing to accept—remains to be seen.
