Stephen Curry won’t play in the NBA forever.
The Davidson product has already won four championships in the big leagues but hopes to win another to cap off a tremendous career.
Curry’s Grade 1 hamstring strain prevented the Warriors from prevailing in the postseason this year. Still, with a productive offseason, the Dubs could find themselves in a better position in 2025-26.
ESPN’s Bobby Marks believes Golden State should cut ties with a four-time NBA champion in favor of a Milwaukee Bucks star forward.
“How it would happen (trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo) is you’re likely trading Jimmy Butler or Draymond Green in a trade,” Marks said Tuesday. “That’s how it happens. There’s not a scenario where you can fit Giannis and also keep the other three players there.”
Shortly after Marks’ bold statement, another ESPN analyst elected to chime in on the hot topic.

“Well, Bobby, I would say this,” Jay Williams said. “Thank you for your service, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler… Bye-bye.”
“Giannis is a perfect fit there in the Bay Area… And if there’s one way you can send off Steph Curry into the sunset on the horse, that’s with Giannis.”
Fortunately for the Warriors, Antetokounmpo is open to leaving the Bucks for the first time in his career.
The nine-time All-Star isn’t satisfied with the organization’s recent play, which is understandable in every way imaginable.
After winning an NBA championship, the goal should be to build on that success and remain at the top of the Eastern or Western Conference.
Following the Bucks’ 2021 title, the franchise has failed to appease their franchise player, suffering four consecutive early playoff exits.
Antetokounmpo, 30, is still at the top of his game physically and shouldn’t be forced to spend the next few seasons in an underachieving environment.
By landing with the Warriors in a blockbuster summer trade, the explosive drive-first forward would have an easier path to another NBA title.
Antetokounmpo’s nonexistent perimeter jumper may raise concerns from fans of the three-point-heavy organization. Still, there’s no question the former first-round pick would get his buckets alongside Curry in the Bay.
Although Green will always be a Warriors legend, Golden State would have to include him in a trade package for Antetokounmpo.
