With all-new weather events in Grow a Garden come new types of mutations. The Summer update brings a new summer-oriented event called Heatwave. Your fruits dry up and receive the Sundried mutation during this event. Since this mutation has an 85x multiplier, you would want more fruits to receive it. Thankfully, the developers have added a new gear called the Tanning Mirror in Grow a Garden. This item helps increase your chances of receiving the Sundried mutation.
How to Get the Tanning Mirror in Grow a Garden
The Tanning Mirror can be purchased at the Gear Shop in Grow a Garden for 1,000,000 Sheckles. So, use a Recall Wrench or simply walk over to the stall and interact with the Eloise NPC and ask for the gear catalogue. As you scroll down the list, you will find the Tanning Mirror as a mythical item in the game.
Although it boasts a high rarity, you might find this item at the gear shop often. Even if you cannot get it after several tries, it’s highly recommended that you either request other players in the game chat to notify you once the gear appears or keep an eye on the stock yourself every 5 minutes.
How to Use the Tanning Mirror in Grow a Garden
Using the Tanning Mirror is no rocket science. You simply need to place the gear in your garden, and here is how it goes:
- Open your backpack and search for the Tanning Mirror.
- Left-click on the Tanning Mirror and close the backpack UI.
- Now, move to your garden and find empty space around rare and high-value plants.
- Then, click the left mouse button or tap and confirm to place the gear.
Once the Tanning Mirror is placed in your plot, you can hover the mouse pointer over it to see how many reflections it has left. This gear can reflect the sun’s beams 10 times only during a Heatwave event. When this reflected beam hits random harvests in your plot, it applies the Sundried mutation (4x sale value) on them. So, this way you get a guaranteed way of obtaining this mutation in Grow a Garden.
