Arsenal are unwilling to weaken their attack further, especially with the season in full swing.
Former striker Alan Smith also weighed in, saying: “I would be tempted to keep Leandro Trossard because he’s a versatile player who’s done well and scored important goals. I don’t think you’d want to lose him.”
That view seems to echo the club’s own. With tough fixtures ahead, including Nottingham Forest after the break, Arsenal cannot afford to lose players who know how to make the net ripple.
For Arteta, this isn’t just about depth — it’s about having a “squad of finishers,” and Trossard still ticks that box.
